Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Portugal PM Antonio Costa held bilateral talks on several issues including terrorism. Six pacts including the one on defence cooperation was signed between the two countries.

While addressing a press conference, PM Modi said that the MoU on defence cooperation will help both nations harness their respective strengths.
PM Modi said that the two nations must focus on action oriented approach to realize the full potential of economic opportunities in our partnership.
He also thanked PM Antonio Costa for his country’s support towards India’s permanent membership of the UN Security Council.
