In a bid to ensure higher education among the girls, the Haryana government is framing a policy to set up more colleges for women in the state.
While addressing a gathering in Hisar, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar announced that this step will let girls not travel beyond 10 km for studies.
“Not even a single girl child in Haryana should feel deprived of the facility of higher education. She should get this facility in nearby areas,” he said.
Each district in Haryana will now have a medical college, which will produce as many as 2,000 doctors each year, CM announced.
Apart from this, Khattar also announced to fill up 3,000 vacancies of professors in colleges.
