US President-elect Donald Trump has announced that United States will be withdrawn from the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) trade deal on his first day at office in the White House.
The step is among the six immediate agendas Trump is aiming in order to ‘put America first.’
Trump took it to Twitter to post a video to elaborate the list of priorities for his first 100 days in the White House. He also told the executive actions to be taken on day one.
“My agenda will be based on a simple core principle: putting America first,” said the Republican billionaire.
“On trade, I am going to issue our notification of intent to withdraw from the Trans-Pacific Partnership, a potential disaster for our country,” said Trump, adding, “Instead, we will negotiate fair, bilateral trade deals that bring jobs and industry back onto American shores.”
The President-elect will take office from January 20, 2017.
