When the opposition parties are protesting against government’s demonetisation move, Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates has lauded the decision.
With a net worth of $87.4 billion, Bill Gates, co-chair of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation said that the world will soon go cashless. He also stated that India will rapidly move towards digital payments economy.
Addressing a lecture on technology for transformation at Niti Ayog, Gates said that digital payments can transform the lives of the poor people.
Earlier, Bill Gates had met Prime Minister Modi and discussed various topics.
