Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday described India-Israel engagement as multi dimensional. PM made the statement while addressing a joint session of media along with Israel President Reuven Rivlin In Delhi.
PM Modi said “Honoured to welcome Israel President, Our engagement is multi-dimensional; building defence ties and enhancing people to people ties important for our partnership.”
He further state that Growing number of Indian students going to study in Israel will be an important bridge in building the partnership between two nations.
He said “We agreed that there are several strong areas of ongoing cooperation between our countries, as we approach 25 year milestone in establishment of diplomatic relations; committed to advance our engagement on several fronts.”
He further encouraged private sector to work as a bridge between two nations and said “Would encourage private sector holders to use this opportunity to build business ties between the two nations.”
On the other hand, Reuven Rivlin also thanked India for welcoming him with enthusiasm and said “Thank you from the bottom of my heart, you have truly made us feel at home in your beautiful country.”
President Reuven Rivlin arrived in India on a 8-day visit on Monday.
