Kudos! Kerala snake boat replicas recognized ‘best stand feature’ at WTM London

Bringing joy to India’s tourism ministry, Kerala’s snake boat replicas won award for Best Stand Feature at the World Travel Market (WTM) 2016 in London.

Known as the God’s own country, Kerala attracts many tourists from UK and the data shows that apart from the natural beauty of the state, its famous snake boat races play a major role in wooing tourists.

PTI reports “Sporting a centrepiece of three vibrant and visually appealing replicas of the spectacular snake boats, with images and a video of ‘vallam kali’ adding to the experience, the Kerala Tourism pavilion was judged the ‘Best Stand Feature’ by an expert panel at WTM.”

WTM London, the leading global event for the travel industry, is the must-attend three-day business-to-business exhibition for the worldwide travel and tourism industry.

It is the event where the travel industry conducts and concludes its deals.

WTM London is part of Reed Travel Exhibition’s World Travel Market events, which also includes Arabian Travel Market, World Travel Market Latin America and World Travel Market Africa.

For Karala snake boats, judges noted that the snake boats made them “want to go to Kerala just to see that in action”.
The three-day event ended late on last Wednesday.
