To Connect the Indian Diaspora worldwide, Karnataka is all set to host country’s flagship programme Pravasi Bharatiya Divas (PBD).
According to reports, nearly 3,000 overseas Indians are expected to attend this event in Bengaluru from January 7-9, 2016.
This is the 14th edition of the PBD convention and this is the first time that the event is being held in Karnataka.
Last week, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah launched the website of the convention.
They also released the logo of the event, after formally announcing the date and venue of the event.
Swaraj said that nearly 3,000 overseas Indians were expected to take part in the event, which would be themed on ‘Redefining Engagement with Indian Diaspora’.
